Mäkoha Beach House - New Zealand Luxury Beach House Accommodation
Originally designed and built in the 1950's, Mäkoha Beach House's modern architectural design, spaciousness, and prime beachfront location were an inspiration to the owners. The property has recently been carefully and tastefully revamped to an exceptionally high standard with the design, colours, texture, artwork and furnishings reflecting the natural environment.
Mäkoha Beach House has been designed with two separate levels of living areas, decks, bathrooms and large bedrooms with king-size beds - making it an ideal luxury accommodation choice for two couples or discerning travellers wanting privacy.
 Upon entry to the property you immediately feel the spaciousness, warmth and calming nature of the natural colours and textures. The New Zealand native heart rimu timber floors and the natural jute, sisal and seagrass rugs throughout the beach house perfectly complement the décor. Original Pacific-themed artwork is featured in many of the rooms.
Lower level
Off the broad entry hall on the main floor is a generous bathroom with luxurious Spanish-tiled bath, glass walk-in shower, under-floor heating and full laundry facilities.
The main lounge has timeless, modern furniture complete with wide-screen LCD television and surround sound DVD/CD system and a rich black granite-hearth open fireplace. Glass folding doors open out onto a large hardwood deck with outdoor barbecuing facilities. In front of you is an expansive, manicured lawn from which you step onto the beach, reinforcing the feeling of endless space with the dramatic vista of Kapiti Island and the sea taking centre stage.
 Also on the lower level is an office with a computer and broadband Internet access, and a spacious and elegant king-size bedroom with glass doors leading to a deck, a romantic dining room and a gourmet kitchen complete with stainless steel appliances and black granite bench tops.
Upper level
A wide staircase to the upper level leads to the master bedroom and ensuite bathroom with an elegant clear glass hand basin, separate Spanish-tiled, glass walk-in shower and under-floor heating. Opposite the master bedroom is a stunning lounge/living area with distinctive rattan furniture that encourages you to sit down, relax and take-in the dramatic, breathtaking view. Original artwork features on the walls and brings a touch of the outdoors in. Glass doors fold back to a large deck with stylish outdoor furniture. From this deck the views are truly inspiring with wide 270º views of the ocean, coastline, islands and the mountains.
